& the only reason its happy,
is because i'm home,
in my pajamas,
on pinterest.
:)
still needs some fixin' up |
half the highlighters.. i will never again have to buy another... |
or pads of paper........ever again. |
dollar store pizza pan-- 1$ from the dollar tree |
craft paint-- walmart for like $.57.. the colors i used were White, Key West, & Laguna |
mirror-- 1$ at the dollar tree. i used a 5 inch one. |
plastic spoons-- dollar tree. as you can see i bought 5 packs of 48, because thats how much the article called for, i didnt use near that much and have a ton left over. |
glue your mirror to the center of the pizza tray. |
i used a hot glue gun, but you can use any suitable craft glue or gorilla glue. |
glue first layer of spoons around the edge. if i make this again, i will maybe glue the spoons more on the actual mouth than the handle than i did here, bu its really not a big deal. |
wa-la! just close enough that they barely touch each other . |
this is where you will start with your lightest color. i used a mixture of White & the Key West. |
add 2 coats. allowing the first one to try completely before starting your second. |
:) |
add a little more of the medium color to your mixture. |
next layer, same as the others. i ended up with 4 layers, so for the 3rd layer i used strictly the middle color, and for the 4th layer i used strictly the last darkest color. |
ta da!!!!! |
all finished... and in love :) still need to add another coat to the darkest layer though... |
half of the closet before (GR's half).. i didnt bother with a picture of my half lol |
handy man at work |
YIKES. dont judge me. |
still need lots and lots of things for the shelves...thus why i'm going thrifting this weekend :) |
after...wa-la! how cute. |
old yard sale wreath |
an old flag |
obviously, simplify the wreath |
distress the flag (we added hot tea.. you can use coffee too if you wanted) |
let sit until desired color |
:) |
wa-la! im not one for flash pictures... sooo... |
:) finished! |
