a day in the life...

its terrible tuesday again!
well, it wasn't so terrible, i'm alive and well, so really all is good!
i've decided to be a crazy picture taker, and document my day today!
(through my iPhones eyes)
what did i find out?
i'm incredibly boring!
:)
and its good morning! get this stupid message every morning, but whatev.
every. morning. this thing sleeps on my head every night.
this is what i leave. everyone still cozy and sleeping in the bed. not fair!
also an essential for every morning.

and occasionally start off the day on low fuel. yes i'm that person who runs it down and uses my mileage clicker thingy to know when ill be stranded on the side of the road.
& i sometimes get in front of your average teen in their moms mini van smoking pot at 8:30 am. only sometimes though.
on mondays and tuesdays we get free lunch at work. today we had Richards :) only Hamilton's BEST.
a little bit of spring at work!
my desk space :)
and this cool guy is on vacation all week! so i considered it a "cheat vacation" on my diet. and hang wings for dinner.
stopped by a train.

beasts when i come home....

Horror Hound 2013

no sooner than I posted my opinions on my favorite scary movies,
i was engulfed in all that is horror at the Horror Hound Convention!

It was a spur of the moment decision (thus having to wait in line for 5 hours for tickets in the freezing cold... its cool)
but a very enjoyable one at that!
*AND I GOT TO MEET SID HAIG!!!!!!*

this line isn't ANY amount of measurement. this building is huge. it was wrapped around the entire building.

Chandler Riggs

Lew Temple

Sig Haig... such a nice guy

Scott Wilson

Eddie Munster. on his cell phone. So sorry i will not pay 20$ to see you lol.

Bill Mosley

Christine

No, i did not pay 10$. Its called sneaking behind a door and taking a photo.

Overall great day! Will definitely come prepared next year with wrist bands. If you're a horror movie fanatic like myself & ever get the chance to go to one, definitely do!

scary movies on a Saturday night.

hello blog world!

this year is just cruising right along, no?
no complaints thus far, its starting out quite fine!
hope all of yours is shaping out the same!

so here i am, on a saturday night, finding myself sitting in front of my laptop drinkin a Frisch's vanilla coke... NAUMS.
how exciting my life has become!

momentarily i will be starting a scary movie marathon, by myself.
which brings up the topic,
what are your TOP scary movies?

you know, those ones that make you sleep with the light on and covers up to your chin?

now, i have my favorite CLASSIC scary movies of course,
Halloween
The Shining
 Night of the Living Dead

but lets be honest, most of those don't send you in to a panic, they're just good old movies to watch for a thrill.

my top scary movies that really get me going would have to be the following:

 Insidious
its the creatures. the story line. the music. something. creeps me out, everytime.

 The Hills Have Eyes (2006)
deformed crazy mountain cannibals... need I say more.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003)
there's really nothing worse than the sound of a chainsaw....

The Strangers
although you're left with many unanswered questions in the end, still a great movie.

House of Wax
wax figures at any rate....

& my top Horror movies of all time, are

 The Devils Rejects

House of 1000 Corpses

Rob Zombie is HIGH on the list of credible horror film producers. These two movies scare the ever living life out of me. I'm kinda freaking just thinking about them....

So there ya have it folks. Feeling ever so incline, please watch one of these films!!! Of course there are many more scary movies that I love. But these, my friends, are the cream of the crop.

love my little city

happy sunday y'all.

so for anyone who knows me, i'm probably the least bit of a city slicker.
give me mountains. give me acres. give me woods. give me rural. give me isolation,
anything but city.

so, although it is not the biggest city in the world by any means,
and may not live up to most city expectations, i will say i am starting to love Hamilton, OH a little bit more!!!

now i'll be honest, sometimes when you think of Hamilton...... you have general thoughts.
and yes, some of those still apply.
But i will say, in leu of recent festivals, its becoming quite the happenin' place, and its just small enough for me to feel at home.

This weekend, as happens every other year, was Ice Fest!!!
I was fortunate enough to get together with some new friends and participate in my first photo walk!
It was fun fun fun, cold cold cold, and i even got to witness an engagement via Ice Sculpture.
My heart was melting.
